World Health Organization
The World Health Organization (WHO) is a specialized agency within the United Nations concerned with improving international health. It was established on April 7th, 1948, and it is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The constitution of WHO was signed by 61 countries on 22 July, 1946, at the first meeting of the World Health Assembly. The international community recognizes WHO for its efforts in emerging diseases and outbreaks, and improving access to reliable medical resources.
