NATO
North Atlantic Treaty Organization
The spread of corruption, the rise of authoritarianism, and the resurgence of an aggressive Russian Federation threaten the security of the democratic world as we know it. The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) stands as one of the final bastions of democracy and military strength in the North Atlantic region. Formed in 1949 by the Washington Treaty, NATO is a multinational organization created in response to an unstable post World War II Europe. The body will always look to diplomacy as its first line of action but is capable of taking on crisis management operations.
