General Assembly
The General Assembly (GA) is the only committee in the United Nations in which all member states have equal representation wherein each of the 193 member states of the United Nations receives one vote regardless of their status and influence in the world. As one of the six main organs of the United Nations, the GA tackles a wide array of issues such as development, peace and security, and international law as well as overseeing the budget of the entire United Nations. As such, the General Assembly is an ideal committee for delegates of all levels that wish to debate far-reaching and pressing international issues. For those who are beginners, it is perfect as an introduction to how the United Nations works.
